Analysis:
Milk & Serial (2024) is too long to be a short film, but too short to be a feature film. And it's free to watch on YouTube!
The movie is relatable, especially with the younger generation, who documents everything and creates content out of their daily lives.
This is a testament that all you need is a camera and creativity to come up with a decent homemade scary movie. The way that this went viral is also proof that the found footage subgenre is still impactful and more effective in giving some real-life touch to horror.
Acting-wise, they're all believable, and the villain is way too creepy to even have friends. The character development is insane in this one. Even the other cast members are surprisingly good.
The editing is also superb in the sense that despite the abrupt camera cuts, they were still able to put all the puzzle pieces together to make the story coherent and understandable.
It's already good as an indie, and it will even be better if they are given the chance to make a bigger production.
