Synopsis:
This movie is about a demon who wants to be born in a human body and lures a pregnant policewoman to a toy factory, where all hell breaks loose.
Analysis:
Demonic Toys (1992) is straight to the point. From the title alone, you'll know what it's all about. But the reason they became demonic in the first place is the essence of the movie.
Gore fans will surely love this because it's surprisingly full of blood and guts. Aside from the toys looking really scary, their kills are all gruesome.
For a toy movie, you'd expect kids to be the victims. It's weird to see adults running away and getting murdered by the demonic toys, which explains the lame and inconsistent acting of the actors. Also, the sudden inclusion of the runaway girl seems forced. They just want to have a random outsider be the one to tell the story of the evil that was happening at the toy factory.
The only saving grace of this movie is the great acting of the demon child. Although his voice is dubbed for the entire duration of the film, the way he moves and delivers his lines looks really evil. Another good thing about this movie is the inclusion of the demon’s backstory. With this flashback, the viewers get an idea of the demon boy’s purpose for bringing the toys to life.
